Gonzaga's Financial Aid Office is excited to announce some improvements for the 2010-2011 academic year:
- Starting this summer, we will be moving to the Federal Direct Loan Program. Students borrowing Stafford and PLUS Loans will no longer be required to select a lender. We anticipate this change will improve efficiency in creation and distribution of funds for all students. All students borrowing Stafford Loans for the 2010 summer terms and beyond will be required to complete a new, electronic Master Promissory Note at https://dlenote.ed.gov.
- All returning students will receive their 2010-2011 Financial Aid Award offer only via email. Paper award letters will not be printed. Please watch your Gonzaga email address for your award letter around mid-March. The email will contain specific information regarding your financial aid award and necessary deadlines for accepting funds. Your Financial Aid Award will still be available on Zagweb.
- Finally, we are making a change to the way we work with students. Each financial aid counselor is now assigned a section of the alphabet. Your last name will determine who your counselor is for your time at Gonzaga. You will no longer need to switch counselors every year! Please refer to our Contact Information Page to determine to whom you will direct all financial aid correspondence.
