Work Study (FWS & SWS) Employment
Work Study Employment
Gonzaga offers two types of need-based work study for enrolled students: Federal Work Study (on-campus employment) and State Work Study (off-campus employment.)
Federal Work Study (FWS) is available to freshmen and sophomores in various academic and administrative departments. The FWS award is based on financial need as determined by the student's FAFSA. This is an opportunity to earn up to the awarded amount where the earnings can be put toward the student's tuition or used for the student's living expenses. For more information contact Katrina Rambo at rambo@gonzaga.edu.
State Work Study (SWS) employment is available to enrolled junior, senior, graduate, and law students in various off-campus, state-approved businesses. This is based on financial need as determined by the student's FAFSA. It is an opportunity for the student to earn up the awarded amount working for an off-campus SWS employer. Students with SWS can look for SWS postings or recruit new off-campus employers into the program. Students working in SWS are not Gonzaga employees. For more information contact Jenny Draggoo at draggoo@gonzaga.edu.
