Federal Work Study On-Campus

Student Working In Rudolf Fitness Center

Steps for Getting a Federal Work Study On-Campus Job

If you have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of your financial aid award package, follow steps 1-4.
  1. Think about where you might want to work. Just about every department on campus has at least one FWS position available. Also, read through Gonzaga's Student Employment Manual.

  2. Look at your class schedule and see what hours during the week you are available to work. Typically, a student will work between 12-15 hours per week in a given department.

  3. After viewing the postings listed in our office or on our on-line FWS Job Board, call or visit departments of interest and setup a time to meet with them to discuss job openings.

  4. Once a job has been offered to you, come back to the Student Employment Office to fill out your hiring paperwork. This includes a Hire PAR form, an I-9 and a W-4. Original documentation, such as a social security card, an unexpired passport or original or certified copy of a birth certificate, is required to complete this paperwork.

Academic Year FWS Jobs will be available August 19th.
