Steps to Summer Financial Aid
- Complete both the 2010-2011 and the 2011-2012 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
*Only the 2010-2011 FAFSA should be completed if you are graduating in May of 2011. - Finalize your summer enrollment.
*If you are only requesting work study you do not need to be enrolled in summer courses. - Complete the Summer Financial Aid Application
Federal Direct Subsidized and Federal Direct Unsubsidized Stafford Loans may be available to students who will be taking at least six credits and who have not already borrowed their annual loan limits for 2010-2011.

First-time Federal Direct Stafford Loan borrowers must complete a Master Promissory Note and Entrance Counseling at www.StudentLoans.gov.
Pell Grants may be available to students who are Pell-eligible during the academic year. All summer applications will automatically be reviewed for this grant.
If additional funds are needed, parents of dependent students may apply for a Federal Direct Parent PLUS Loan and, if approved, must complete a Master Promissory Note at www.StudentLoans.gov. Students may also explore alternative loan options through a bank or credit union if Parent PLUS Loans are not an option. Students will be notified via email of their summer aid eligibility beginning April 15th, 2011.
