Reporting

  1. Improper Practices: All employees have a duty to promptly report, verbally or in writing,any evidence or knowledge of improper practice of which they are aware. As used here, "improper practice" means any illegal, fraudulent, dishonest, negligent, or unethical action relating to University operations or activities. Employees should report improper practices to their immediate supervisor. If the impropriety appears to involve the immediate supervisor or a management employee, reports should be to the next higher management level or Human Resources.

    Confidentiality
    : Employees will not disclose this information to others not having a need to know.

    Protection: Employees who report in good faith, confidentially, through appropriate channels, will be protected from retaliation.

  2. Threatening Conduct: All employees also have a duty to report any behavior which in their judgment is threatening, violent or has the potential to become threatening or violent without proper intervention. Employees receiving, witnessing, or becoming aware of such conduct should notify their supervisor, Campus Security, or Human Resources. Appendix 29 Workplace Violence Policy
