Job Purpose
Gonzaga University seeks a full-time tenure-track assistant professor to begin fall, 2010.
Essential Functions
  • Open specialization, with preference given to candidates who can demonstrate ability to build a bridge between Latin American and Spanish literary traditions (trans-Atlantic studies, theater studies, poetry) or candidates with an interest in second language acquisition or pedagogy. Teaching load is three courses per semester.
Required Qualifications
  • Ph D in Spanish or equivalent
  • Native or near-native fluency in both Spanish and English
  • Evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate level, including advanced Spanish language and composition, and content courses.
