| Job Purpose |
| The Department of Nursing invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor commencing September 2009. The department is within the School of Professional Studies, and offers a CCNE accredited undergraduate BSN program and six post-licensure and graduate programs. Our dynamic faculty use a variety of innovative teaching strategies in the classroom, clinical, and virtual environments. Our residential BSN program has excellent facilities, small classes, and provides close contact with students. Our RN to MSN, four MSN programs; FNP, Psych NP/CNS, Nurse Educator, Health Systems Leadership, and Post Graduate Certificate program serve students across 30 states. The unique format of our graduate program draw on a broad range of technical and human support to provide exceptional quality instruction at a distance while maintaining close connection with students in small classes. The department is seeking a dynamic individual to join our growing team serving our students. We are seeking candidates with an earned doctorate, ABD considered. A Master’s degree in nursing is required. The responsibilities of the position include teaching, professional development, advising, and academic citizenship and service. Promotion and tenure are based on demonstrated and continued excellence in these four evaluation categories |

- Advising: Advising undergraduate and/or graduate students in their course selection and in their career path choices.
- Academic citizenship and service: Working on department, school, and/or university committees.

| Required Qualifications |
- Earned doctorate in Nursing or related field. ABD considered. A Master’s degree in nursing is required.
