Alumni Association Car Raffle

printer Printer Friendly
The main source of funding for the scholarship program comes from the annual Alumni Association Car Raffle, held at the Bozarth Mansion in Spokane, Washington.
In the early 1980's, determined to increase the number and award size of its scholarships, the Alumni Association held its first fundraiser, a pizza auction on the campus of Gonzaga University. Much has changed since then, but one thing remains constant, the Alumni Association's commitment to helping families of Gonzaga alumni carry on the proud tradition of Jesuit education.
Grand prizes have included Pontiac Sunfires, Sunbirds, Grand Ams, Ford Mustangs and trips to Hawaii. Over 20 additional prizes are awarded each year to lucky winners. Harry (deceased) and Harriet Leppek of San Marino, California are the benefits's major boosters. Each year for the last 19, Mr. and Mrs. Leppek have generously donated the grand prize automobile. Their generosity is a true example of the Gonzaga spirit at work in the world.
There are ways for you to become involved as well. If you have any questions or are interested in learning more about the car raffle, the scholarship program and how you can help, please contact Lynn Wells at the Alumni Office. You can also click here to make a donation to the scholarship program to ensure generations to come can enjoy the benefits of a Jesuit education. As always, we thank you for your continued generosity and remind you that your gift is tax deductible as allowed by law.
