Scheduling
Regular Season Scheduling
- The number of participants and teams for each activity will determine the number of, and types of, leagues that will be available.
-
- Leagues may be combined depending upon the number of teams registered per league.
Schedules will be posted on the Intramural web page and the number of games per sport is not guaranteed.
-
- Teams not submitting an Exception Sheet (when necessary) at the registration deadline will open all times for availability.
-
- Teams not taking the Coaches Compliance test (when necessary) will be reduced one regular season game or removed from the league. It is the captain's responsibility to take the test by the deadline and no email reminder will be sent out. If there are problems with Blackboard, it is also the captain's responsibility to contact the Director prior to the deadline.

- Tournament Standings and Scheduling
-
- The tournament standings and schedules are posted on the web as soon as each league has finished all regular season play. Some regular season games will end on a Sunday and tournament games will begin that Monday so the captain must check the web page the last Sunday of regular season play so his/her team does not miss any tournament games. Emails will not be sent out to captains to remind them, it is the captain's responsibility to check the web for this information.
-
- After each game captains sign-off on the scorecard/scoresheet so there should be minimal-to-no changes made regarding standings.
- Sportsmanship Rating System: Only teams with an above .500 record AND above .250 sportsmanship rating will qualify for tournament play.
-
- Once the standings and schedules are posted on the web on Sundays, captains have until Monday at 1pm to give any corrections to the Intramural Director. After 1pm on Mondays following the end of regular season play no corrections will be made to the standings or schedules.
-
- Leagues finishing before other leagues may start tournament play prior to some leagues even finishing regular season play.
-
- Captains should check the web often after the last regular season week of play to make sure their team doesn't miss their tournament games; tournament schedules will be posted as soon as each league has finished.
Forfeits, Defaults and Weather
Forfeits:
- Game time is forfeit time.
- Each team is responsible for arriving at the playing area and ready to play at least 15 minutes before game time. This includes having all players signed-in with proper GU ID's. If a team or participant fails to be ready at the time the contest is scheduled, the Intramural Staff will declare the contest a forfeit. The team receiving the win must be checked-in and fulfill the player requirements. If the opposing team shows up late, they two teams may occupy the field until 15 minutes prior to the next scheduled game if conditions are safe.
- A team which forfeits two games will automatically will be dropped from the tournament no matter their reasoning or standings in the league.
In case of a forfeit due to shortage of players, ineligible players, etc., officials and equipment may be provided for that time period up to 15 minutes prior to the next scheduled game depending on the circumstances.
- Forfeited games will not be re-scheduled.
- Defaults:
- A team may default if they know they are unable to make a scheduled game by contacting the Director at least 24 hours in advance of their next game. This gives the Intramrual Staff plenty of time to let the opposing team know they will receive a win for their next game and do not need to show up to the playing area to receive the win. The Intramural Department understands things come up at the last minute and appreciate the captains/teams that let us know in advance they cannot make the game. A defaulted game will not count as a forfeited game regarding tournament play, but will count as a loss on the team's overall record. The game will not be re-scheduled. One default is given per team, per regular season play; two or more defaults will count as a forfeit(s).
Weather:
- All games will be played as scheduled unless the captains are otherwise notified.
- Captains/players can call the Intramural Weather Hotline (Intramural Office x4251) for up-to-date information during poor weather conditions.
- Due to limited time, space, and facilities, rain-outs and weather related delayed games will only be re-scheduled if time and space allows and if deemed necessary by the Intramural Director. Games will end with the score "as is" or deemed a "tie" if both teams did not have equal scoring opportunities.
