What is sportsmanship to you?
Dione Fernandez (Junior)
Sportsmanship is the ability to play with emotion and passion that doesn’t disrupt the dignity of the game or show any disrespect to anyone involved.
Jense Flaherty (Senior)
Sportsmanship is competing fairly while respecting your teammates, opponents and officials. It is understanding the essence of the sport and embellishing the great things that competition has to offer. Win or lose, sportsmanship should remain the constant in a person with character. Displays of sportsmanship should range from support of teammates, respect to official’s judgments, respect for the opposition and an attitude that respects the game.
TJ Aldan (Senior)
Sportsmanship is respecting your opponent and the game. If you lose, act with class in order not to take away from their victory. If you win, act graciously to sympathize for their loss. Respect the game by playing within the rules and giving it your best effort.
