Visit Manito Park; catch a movie at the Garland; order deep-fried Oreo Cookies from The Onion; and then head down to Riverside State Park...a little slice of heaven in the city.

Your parents are going to remind you every time you talk to them for at least the first year, "don't forget to study." I'd say, "don't forget to live a little" as well.
