Discover Gonzaga!

Gonzaga University has something to offer each unique individual.  If you would like to discover more about what Gonzaga has to offer YOU, please visit our Zag Life section of the web site.  We hope that while viewing our online DVD or reading our student blogs, you can find out for yourself whether or not Gonzaga is the right fit for YOU!

Confirmation Deposit

If you intend to enroll at Gonzaga University in the fall, please submit a confirmation deposit of $400 by May 1.  (If admitted off the waitlist, you have two weeks following your admission to submit your confirmation deposit and reply card.)  This deposit secures your place in the class and initiates your course registration.

You have the option of either sending in a check to the Office of Admission or paying the deposit online. Please click here for directions and a link to pay online. Whichever option you choose, you must also send the DEPOSIT REPLY CARD to the Office of Admission by May 1. Completion of the deposit reply card (along with your payment) verifies your enrollment. The tuition deposit is non-refundable unless a written cancellation and request for a refund is received by the Dean of Admission on or before June 1.

Advance Room Deposit

If you plan to live on campus during the fall, you must submit both an Advance Room Deposit of $200 and a completed online Residence Living Agreement by May 1. Click on the "Apply for Housing Online" button below to get started. To access the online application, you will need to have a special password that will be issued by the Housing Office. This password will be sent via email several days after you have received your acceptance information from the Admissions Office.  If you have been admitted to Gonzaga after May 1, please submit the application within two weeks of admittance.

The online application will offer you an opportunity to express your housing preference, roommate preference, and express your lifestyle characteristics (for roommate matching purposes).  Please note that the demand for certain buildings exceeds supply so not all requests may be honored.  Preference in the assignment process for new residents is based on the date your Residence Living Agreement is received in the Housing Office.

* Be sure to check out our RESIDENCE HALL website before applying for housing. This will give you useful information when deciding what residence hall is the best fit for you!

The advance room deposit is applied to your personal account and converts to a damage deposit upon enrollment.  You have the option of either sending in a check to the Office of Housing and Residence Life or paying the deposit online.

Refunds for this deposit will be available upon receipt of a written cancellation of the residential living agreement. There will be no refunds issued after June 1.  Refunds for students who enroll at Gonzaga, but decide to live off campus, will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.  Early completion of the above requirement is strongly encouraged. File the FAFSA

Gonzaga requires all students applying for need-based financial aid to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA.  You generally do not need to fill out the FAFSA to receive merit-based scholarships.  For more details, contact the Financial Aid Office, (800) 793-1760.

FAFSA forms are available in all high school counseling offices as well as in most college offices. The Financial Aid Office can also send you a copy of the FAFSA, or you can access it on the Internet at www.fafsa.ed.gov

Submit the FAFSA by February 1st to make Gonzaga' s priority awarding deadline. Gonzaga's FAFSA code is 003778. You will be contacted if additional paperwork is required.

Send Final Official Transcripts

Freshmen must request that a final, official high school transcript be sent to the Office of Admission.  This transcript should cover eight semesters or twelve trimesters of work and have a graduation date posted.  Freshmen who have completed collegiate work, Advanced Placement exams, or International Baccalaureate exams during high school must have official transcripts and examination records forwarded to the Office of Admission.  Advanced standing credit is determined by the Academic Vice President's Office.

Our offers of admission are conditional and contingent upon the successful and satisfactory completion of all academic work in progress.  Final academic transcripts will be carefully reviewed.

Vaccination Records and Medical Information

Students entering in the fall must submit either the Immunization Record Form or official vaccination records, by August 1.  The Immunization Record Form will be sent to you after the Office of Admission receives your confirmation deposit.  Any and all documentation should be sent directly to the Gonzaga Health Center.  If you were born after 1956, mandatory policy requires that you receive a second measles vaccination prior to enrollment.

A board-certified internist and three registered nurses are available at the Gonzaga Health Center every Mon., Wed.-Fri. from 8-12 p.m., and 1-4:30 p.m. and Tues. 10-12 p.m. and 1-4:30 pm.  Medical services are also available on an emergency basis, 24 hours a day.  All students, with or without insurance, have access to this medical facility.

Students are responsible for all medical procedures performed outside of the Health Center, including x-rays, blood tests, hospital stays, and emergencies.  A major medical insurance plan that covers medical costs at other facilities is offered to students upon their arrival in the fall.  Policies purchased at this time provide coverage for a full 12 months.  All students are required to purchase Gonzaga University Accident Insurance for a nominal fee ($42 in the 2007-2008 year).

Disability Resources, Education, & Access Management (DREAM)

Support services are available for students with documented disabilities. If you have a disability which may require academic adjustments or accommodations, please contact Gonzaga's DREAM Office (Disability Resources, Education, & Access Management) at 800-986-9585, extension 4134.

For certain services, such as a sign language interpreter or materials in alternate media (tape or braille texts), it is absolutely essential that you notify DREAM six or more weeks in advance of your arrival so that services can be arranged.
