All study
abroad programs require some advance mental preparation to
anticipate the changes and to gain the most from the multitude of
experiences abroad that will affect you physically and emotionally
as well as academically.
PASSPORTS AND VISAS
A student visa is required for study in
Italy. In order to apply for a visa, all students must have a
passport that is valid for three months beyond their stay in
Europe. Do not plan to use your passport 90 days prior to departure
to allow for visa processing. Detailed instructions will be
provided by the Gonzaga Study Abroad
Office.
HEALTH INSURANCE
Included in the program cost are the
International Student Identity Card (ISIC) and the Italian
government insurance that provide basic travel/health insurance.
Check your own insurance policy to determine if you need additional
study abroad insurance.
