Embark on a biological expedition through Ecuador, follow in the footsteps of Charles Darwin, explore the Galapagos Islands - one of the world's most unique and historic ecosystems - and earn four credits!

Open to all students regardless of major.

  • Non-Biology Majors: satisfy your GU lab science core. BIOL 159.
  • Biology Majors: satisfy upper division biology elective. BIOL 359.

The 4 credit course uses an international experience as a backdrop to learn about evolutionary, ecological, and biogeographical processes that determine the ranges and biodiversity of organisms.

  • Program Cost: Estimated $4,400* includes tuition, all in-country airfare (not international airfare), all accommodations and meals in Ecuador and Galapagos, all in-country transportation, English-Spanish speaking guides, International Student Identity Card (ISIC). The program cost does not include: roundtrip airfare to Quito, Ecuador (approximately RT $1000); books; and personal expenses.
