Gonzaga University students can spend a year, semester, or summer studying abroad in Australia. Select from a broad range of classes offered through Gonzaga's exchange program with the University of Notre Dame or study the dynamics of rainforest ecosystems in the tropical rainforest of Queensland with The School for Field Studies.

  • Area of Study: Broad selection of courses from eight academic schools including Arts & Sciences, Business, Education, Health Sciences, Law, Medicine, Nursing, and Philosophy & Theology.
  • Term: fall or spring semester
  • GPA & Requirement: 3.0
  • Program Cost: Gonzaga University tuition and University of Notre Dame room and board charges. Airfare and textbooks are not included.
  • Application Deadline: Applications for this exchange program will be accepted until the deadline of February 1, 2010. Exchange programs are limited in space. It is recommended you apply early. Late applications are considered on a space-available basis.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Spend a year or semester studying at Australia's first and only private Catholic university: The University of Notre Dame. Select one of three campuses: Fremantle (the largest of the three with a wide selection of classes), Sydney, or Broome (Nursing & Education)

  • Term: semester, summer
  • GPA & Requirement: 3.0 and completed at least one college-level ecology or biology course prior to the start of the program
  • Program Cost: School for Field Studies Program Fee + $500 Gonzaga administrative fee.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
With the rainforest on the Atherton Tablelands in Queensland as your laboratory, learn to understand the dynamics of rainforest ecosystems, including potential impacts of global climate change, and in turn develop rainforest restoration strategies that benefit both ecosystem and human communities.
