Caitlin A. Bagley is an Associate Professor and Instruction Librarian focused on the first year experience. She received her MLS from Indiana University. A Southerner by birth, she did her undergraduate work at the University of Kentucky majoring in Classics and English. She has previously worked at Murray State University as a Research Librarian. Her interests include information literacy, cloud computing, Roman mythology and history, and running. Naturally inquisitive, she is always interested in helping you with your research.

Kelly Jenks received her MLS from the School of Library and Information Science at San Jose State University, San Jose, California.  She has worked at Gonzaga University since 2000, and is the Instruction Coordinator.   Her passion is living the circle of experience, reflection and action in a learner centered classroom whether that classroom is in person or online.  She loves the curious and the desperate!  Her duties include working with professors to develop library sessions that strengthen research scholarship across the disciplines, as well as coordinating the schedule of other members of the instruction team.  If you would like to arrange a meeting with one of our instructors, either for yourself, your group or a class, please contact her via the information provided or stop by Foley Center Library.


Theresa Kappus

Theresa has an MA in Librarianship & Information Management from the University of Denver and has been part of the Foley Library staff since November 1998. She has worked in university, community college and public libraries in Oregon, Washington and North Dakota during a career that began quite innocently as a student worker in the Knight Library at the University of Oregon (BA, English,1978; the year they filmed Animal House on the UofO campus). Theresa’s main responsibility is to help distant and online students connect with Foley Library and its many resources. John Spencer

John S. Spencer, B.A., M.A., M.L.S. is currently the Chair of Public Services, as well as the Coordinator of Reference and Periodicals. He has been working at Gonzaga University since September, 2001. Previously he served as an Associate Librarian at Central Washington University in Ellensburg (also known as the windy city) and has worked at The University of the South (home of the Sewanee Review) and Arizona State University West in the Valley of the Sun (also known as Phoenix). He is a native of the buckeye state (Ohio) and is an avid fan of the British mystery and American detective genre.

Linda is Associate Professor and Collection Development Librarian. She has her Master's in Librarianship from the University of Washington and has been a faculty member at Gonzaga since 1989. Her collection development responsibilities include the Schools of Engineering and Business as well as Philosophy and Organizational Leadership. Her professional activities include research in professional ethics in librarianship.


Adrian Pauw

Adrian Pauw received her MLIS from the Information School at the University of Washington. Her undergraduate work was done right here at Gonzaga, where she majored in Biology and minored in English. Adrian returned to Gonzaga as an employee in 2005, and has worked in the Public Services department at Foley Center Library since 2006. Her instruction practices are centered on meeting students at their point of need, with sessions tailored to individual courses and/or specific assignments. Adrian is committed to promoting life-long information fluency for all Foley library patrons, and her professional passion is renewed each time she speaks with others about their research interests. Her own interests include information literacy, personal information management, evolutionary biology, medicine, African diaspora studies, language learners, world literature and music, online participatory cultures, and open access. Adrian thrives on interruptions and impossible questions, and is unlikely to shush you.


Linda Koep

Linda graduated the University of Arizona with a Master’s degree in Information Resources and Library Science in 1997.  She joined Gonzaga’s Foley Library faculty as an adjunct January 2002 with responsibilities at the reference desk, virtual reference, and instruction. Before joining Foley, her previous experience included managing a corporate library (with a collection emphasizing business, engineering, geology and government documents) and a high school librarian.  Why did she become a librarian? Ask her, it’s kind of funny.
