Credits and Certificates
The MA/TESL Summer Institute consists of one 4-credit course (MTSL 401/501: Theory and Practice in Language Teaching) and a 1-credit ESL Language Camp. Participants not entering a degree program (e.g., international students on summer programs, or non-matriculated American students seeking an ESL endorsement or professional training) will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of their studies. The five credits earned can also be applied toward a K-12 Public School ESL Endorsement for graduate or undergraduate students.
Note: The four semester credits are equivalent toseven quarter credits.
