AccreditedGonzaga's English Language Center
For nearly 28 years, the Gonzaga English Language Center (ELC) has welcomed students from around the world to an intensive program of English study designed to help them succeed in further academic pursuits. We've helped individuals from all backgrounds and interests achieve their educational goals. Our students can be found all over the world in such professions as: business, marketing, engineering, cultural and political affairs, teaching and much more.
The English Language Center encompasses academic programs in three areas:
English as a Second Language (ESL)
Completion of the Gonzaga ESL Program, with faculty recommendation, satisfies the English language proficiency requirements for admission to Gonzaga and many other area institutions of higher learning.
Master of Arts Program in Teaching English as a Second Language (MA/TESL)
This rigorous and innovative MA/TESL program prepares its participants for successful careers in professional English language instruction for both domestic and overseas student populations.
Special ELC Programs
Gonzaga's ELC operates several special programs for selected student groups, sponsored by international academic partners.
