SaeRom Konecky
SaeRom is a third year law student from Kalispell, Montana. She graduated from Montana State University in 2008 with a degree in Political Science. She is a member of a number of organizations at the law school including: the Gonzaga Law Review, Asian/Pacific Islander Law Caucus, Street Law and the Women’s Law Caucus. During the summer of 2011, she worked as a Patton Boggs policy fellow with the Alaska Native Policy Center at the First Alaskans Institute in Anchorage where she conducted research in connection with a Kellogg grant they received to study racism in Alaska. Her interest in working for the Institute for Hate Studies developed out of a general interest in researching issues of race and gender inequality. She is especially interested in the work the Institute is doing to better understand the mechanics of hate and is eager to help the Institute raise awareness and understanding on these issues. Following graduation from law school she hopes to continue working in a related field on issues affecting social justice.
