From Financial Aid:

The 2009 Summer Financial Aid Application is now available!

The Summer Financial Aid Application allows us to increase your budget from the current school year to accommodate your summer enrollment. Before submitting your application, ask yourself the following questions:

-  Am I enrolled in summer classes?
The first day to register for summer classes was March 16th. If your application reflects credits you are not enrolled in, your request will not be processed. Be sure to sign up for summer classes BEFORE you apply!

-  Have I filed my 2008-2009 AND 2009-2010 FAFSA?
Unless you are graduating this summer, you will need BOTH FAFSAs filed before your application will be processed.

-  Am I eligible?
Before submitting your application, please meet with your financial aid counselor to determine your eligibility.

Please be aware that for the summer sessions, you will receive a paper award notice. You will not be able to accept your award offer on Zagweb.

As always, if you have any questions about this process or about completing your application, please contact the financial aid office. We are here to help you with this important process!

From Project First G.O.A.L. - First Generation of Academic Leadership:

Project First G.O.A.L. is Gonzaga's first mentoring program with high school students.   Our goal is to assist high school students whose family has never been to college continue onto a post-secondary education.  We meet once a week from 3-5 beginning in February for mentoring sessions where we will start with fun activities and end with one-on-one mentoring.  The high school students are a diverse bunch, from every different background and lifestyle.  Volunteering as a mentor will help to develop strong communication skills, build your resume, help a student in need and engage the community.  We are looking for Gonzaga students from every different walk of life and background to serve as a mentor for a Rogers High School student.   We would strongly encourage students who are themselves the first in their family to attend college, and those with unique backgrounds to apply as mentors.
Apply today and share your time and knowledge with a student that needs you.   For more information contact Rose or Brian at 313-5760, Williamson@gonzaga.edu, breen@gonzaga.edu, or stop by the Unity House Multicultural Education center to talk about the project and pick up an application.

Please pay attention to the accuracy of your e-mail address. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you.
