An excellent introduction to field of leadership studies, including interaction with local leaders and with graduate students in the Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership program.
Seminar Description:
Become introduced to effective organizational leadership and learn to recognize the approaches and styles of other leaders. Develop a clearer understanding of your own leadership qualities and challenge areas in order to create a personal definition of leadership and set goals for individual improvement. Seminar activities include presentations, readings, facilitated discussion, and interaction with guests from various industries who are key leaders in their organizations.
This intensive is a graduate course in leadership for the MA in Organizational Leadership Students, which invites continuing education (CE) participants for a richer exchange. The MA requirements of submitting two papers and engaging in on-line discussion through the summer are options for CE participants.
Required Readings:
Books will be provided as part of the registration fee, and can be made available prior to the initial session. Students taking the class for graduate or undergraduate credit have additional reading requirements. In addition to a selection of current articles and other literature, materials will include:
