St. Andrew's Abbey is in the desert outside of Los Angeles, CA.

This course examines the dynamics of individual development within the experience of community as presented by Benedict of Nursia in the 6th century and practiced by Benedictine monasteries in the 21st century. Special emphasis is given to the structure of the monastic day, the practice of humility, and the implications of Benedict's thought and Benedictine practice to contemporary leadership and organizational life.

COSTS:

The cost of the course is $380 for a single room and $280 for a shared room. These costs include 3-meals a day. Rooms are available on a "first come, first served" basis. Please note that students who reserve rooms will automatically be registered for this course, and must do so in order to be registered. Sr. Karen will keep a waiting list.
