Institutional Review Board - IRB

The Doctoral Program in Leadership requires completion of "Human Participant Protection Education" as a prerequisite for admission to DPLS 730 (effective Spring 2008) and prior to submission of an IRB application for students who have already complete DPLS 730.  Human Participant Protection Education is offered as a free, web-based course. It presents information about the rights and welfare of human participants in research. The two-hour tutorial is designed for those involved in conducting research involving human participants. It satisfies the NIH human subjects training requirement for obtaining Federal Funds. Upon successful completion of the course you will want to print a certificate of completion from your computer and provide one copy to Marnie Broughton for you file and another copy to Deborah Booth, AD Box 25, Gonzaga University.
