Scholarship and Dissertations

The Doctoral Program's Commitment to Scholarship in the Field of Leadership

For more than twenty years the doctoral program has been a place where critical thought and moral conviction meet the questions of humanity. With nearly three-hundred graduates, the program has achieved national recognition and international reach. Effective leaders need to develop the critical imagination required to embrace individual, organizational, and global change from a stance of hope and courage. The Program promotes academic excellence and facilitates the strengthening of conceptual, scholarly, and professional competencies for use in leadership roles that serve others.

Notably, past student dissertations have been honored with national dissertation awards, reflecting the strong foundation of scholarship the program provides. Further witness to the program's commitment to academic rigor and contribution to the scholarly community in the interdisciplinary field of Leadership Studies are the numerous publications of faculty, alumni, and students.

The program also maintains international partnerships with universities in South Africa, East Africa, and The Philippines.
