What do you mean by "Template"?

  • The DPLS program provides templates and instructions for formatting Candidacy and Academic Course Papers and the Dissertation.  The Candidacy and Course Papers template includes a Table of Contents and Abstract, and the Dissertation Template includes a Table of Contents, Dedication, Acknowledgements, Abstract, List of Tables, List of Figures, References, Appendix, etc.
  •  Because DPLS is an academic program the Program does not follow APA exactly.  The current templates are based on APA 6 and DPLS specific guidelines.  Differences are discussed in the White Book that can be downloaded above.

  • All proposals and dissertation submitted after June 1, 2012 must be in APA 6.

  • The program does not require the use of the templates as long as your documents look like the published examples.
