The MIT program at Gonzaga University uses a cohort structure for its classes. Students take the same classes together on the same schedule throughout the program. Friendships develop within the cohort that perpetuate through teaching careers. Students learn to depend on their colleagues and work together in teams.

There are currently three different cohorts in the MIT program.

• MIT 8 - Graduating Spring 2006
• MIT 9 - Graduating Spring 2007
• MIT 10 - Graduating Spring 2008
