What is BAP?
Beta Alpha Psi is an honorary organization for financial information students and professionals. The primary objective of Beta Alpha Psi is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field. This includes:
- Promoting the study and practice of accounting, finance and information systems.
- Providing opportunities for self-development, service, and association among members and practicing professionals.
- Encouraging a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibility.
Gonzaga's Iota Delta Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi was established in 1996. In thirteen of its sixteen years of excellence, the Gonzaga chapter has achieved Superior status, a sign of its active calendar of events and commitment to community service. Only about half of the chapters in the country achieve Superior status.
From the annual Fall Career Fair to the Spring Banquet, the year is packed with activities designed to provide students with opportunities to learn about the accounting profession, to gain information about the recruiting process, and to network with the firms that recruit on Gonzaga's campus.
