Master of Accountancy

accounting masters

Gonzaga University's Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program prepares students for the rapidly changing accounting environment and the dynamic nature of the accounting profession. The accounting program received separate AACSB accreditation in 2009, and is one of only 170 universities in the United States to have received this distinction.

Statistics published annually by the NASBA reveal that Gonzaga MAcc students consistently perform significantly above the national average on all sections of the Uniform CPA examination. For 2012, Gonzaga ranked No. 20 in the nation for first-time pass rates among 255 "large programs".

Gonzaga's MAcc program is currently ranked in the top 25 by US News & World Report. In 2014 Gonzaga's MAcc program was ranked No. 14, this is the highest ranking the MAcc program has achieved in US News & World report since the program's inception.Gonzaga's MAcc program is the only program in the Northwest to be ranked in the top 15.

Additionally, graduating MAcc students boast a 90% job placement rate within 3-6 months of graduation due to the strong relationships our faculty maintain with employers, as well as the excellent on-campus recruiting program.

The MAcc program is a 31-credit degree comprised of eleven core credits and twenty elective credits. Students may select either the Financial Accounting & Reporting Concentration or the Taxation Concentration.
