How to Withdraw or Drop from a Course

WHEN IS THE LAST DAY TO WITHDRAW OR DROP FROM A COURSE?

There has been some confusion about the MBA academic calendar.  The academic calendar posted by Gonzaga is for courses that are full semester 16 week courses.  The rule of thumb for courses that are less than 16 weeks is that students must apply to withdraw three week before the course ends.  All late withdrawals require a letter (as well as supporting documentation if the reason is deemed compelling) to the dean, with approval signatures from the instructor, advisor, and dean.  There is a $50 fee for late appeals.  If a student wants to drop a course (which is different from withdrawing) the academic calendar dates apply for courses that start at the beginning of the term.  Rule of thumb for all other courses, i.e. trailer courses, is they can drop within one week of the start date, but must meet prior to the 2nd class meeting.
