University Choir

The Gonzaga University Choir is the premiere choir at Gonzaga. Since 1887, the founding year of the University, The Gonzaga University Choir has been an intrinsic part of the artistic life on campus.

The Choir performs frequently; many performances take place in the beautiful St. Aloysius Church on Gonzaga's campus.

The choir also tours on a regular basis, performing for audiences throughout the Pacific Northwest. Major performances for the choir have included:

  • 1990, 1994 and 1998 state conventions of the Washington Music Educators' Association
  • 1996 and 1998 Northwest regional convention of the American Choral Directors' Association
  • 1996 national convention of Music Educators' National Conference.
  • 2001 All-Northwest MENC Conference

With invitations to sing at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, Chartres Cathedral and the abbey church at Mont Saint-Michel, the choir traveled to France in May, 2004.
