Gonzaga adventurers at Teotihuacan, Mexico summer 1995

The summer Spanish intensive program in Cuernavaca, Mexico, offers two three-week sessions under the director of one of Gonzaga's Spanish faculty. In addition to language courses, Mexican instructors teach courses in anthropology, history, politics, art, and literature. Tours of historical sites are an integral part of the program. Students live with Mexican families.

Student responses to the Cuernavaca experience: "I like talking and living with Mexicans. It's the best way to learn the traditions, culture, way of life, and language." -Michelle Roy

"I love the people of Mexico. It surprises me how hard some of their lives are; yet they still manage to smile and look on the bright side." -Margaret Beppler
