
Rosauer Center for Education
- Built in 1994 from a donation made by Jessie Rosauer, a good friend of Gonzaga University
- Houses the School of Education Deans office, and faculty and staff offices
- Several classrooms, including several multimedia presentation rooms with DVD/VCR, projector, document camera and sound systems
- Multimedia computer labs on the main level with Macintosh computers (OS X 10.4)
- Wireless internet access throughout the building
Pre-school
The Special Education department, through the work of Professor Kim Weber, runs a pre-school on the second floor of the Rosauer Center for Education. Classes run two days a week. For more information, contact Dr. Weber.
Student Lounge
A sunny, quiet, clean, and comfortable place for students to congregate. Many students stop in between classes to read papers donated by the Wall Street Journal and the Spokesman-Review. The student lounge is available for gatherings by reservation by contacting the Dean's Office. There is a copy machine, snack and soda vending machines, a microwave, and a sink and counter space.
Computer Lab
The Technology Resource Center is the hub of instructional technology at the Rosauer Center for Education. In addition to offering the hardware and software our professional candidates require, we provide them with training and technical support. The TRC is staffed and open for 12 hours on most days, and for extended hours during crunch times. The computer lab can be used as a single classroom or partitioned in to two smaller classrooms. On either side of the partition are a teaching workstation, a projector, and an ActiveBoard complete with the ActiVote system. Some of the services we provide are:
- Workstations for 24 students equipped with MacMinis, Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger), and updated software
- Projectors, wireless Mac laptops and SmartBoards available for reservation to faculty
