Peace Corps
For the second year in a row, Gonzaga University is ranked No. 1 in the nation among small universities for alumni serving in the Peace Corps. Twenty-two Gonzaga undergraduate alumni are serving overseas as Peace Corps volunteers, lifting Gonzaga’s historical total to 320 alumni with Peace Corps service. Gonzaga has been ranked in the top five in its category for each of the past three years.
U.S. News 2013
  • Gonzaga University is the No. 4 best "Regional University" in the West in U.S. News & World Report's annual college rankings.
  • Gonzaga ranks No. 2 in the West for its average freshman retention rate (tie) and graduation rate.
  • School of Engineering and Applied Science is the No. 22 (tie with seven other schools) best undergraduate engineering program nationwide (among engineering schools whose highest degree is a bachelor’s or master’s).
  • The University is rated the No. 3 best value among West regional universities.

Fiske Guide to Colleges

For the first time, Gonzaga University is among 336 U.S., Canadian and British colleges featured in the “Fiske Guide to Colleges” (revised and updated for 2014). Compiled by Edward B. Fiske, former education editor for The New York Times, the publication has become known for capturing the highlights and character of schools for 30 years.

The Princeton Review

Listed as one of Princeton Review's  “The Best 379 Colleges” (2015 Edition), No. 3 for "Everybody Plays Intramurals" and No. 15 for "Students Pack the Stadiums.”

Kiplinger's Best

Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine ranks Gonzaga University the No. 7 Best College Value among private universities in the West/Southwest for 2014 and the No. 34 Best College Value among private universities nationwide. Factors contributing to Gonzaga's value include: academic competitiveness (admission rate and yield), graduation rates, academic support, cost and financial aid, and student indebtedness. Money Magazine

Money magazine, in its Best Colleges for Your Money edition (2014), ranks Gonzaga as the No. 1 best value among private colleges and universities in the state of Washington (177th best in the nation).

AACSB Business, Accounting Accreditations

Gonzaga University School of Business Administration announced Jan. 9, 2012 it has retained prestigious accreditations for business and accounting by AACSB International – the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business — the global accrediting body for business schools worldwide.

Listed as one of the top 100 “Coolest Schools.”

2013 Washington Monthly College Rankings

No. 28 in the Best Master’s Universities category nationwide (public and private).

Innovative Master's Degree Award

Gonzaga's MA in Communication and Leadership Studies was awarded the 2010 Innovative Master's Degree Program Award by the National Communication Association.

Study Abroad Excellence

Gonzaga Ranks No. 10 in Nation for Students Participating in Long-term Study Abroad Programs.

Nationally Ranked Debaters

Gonzaga’s top debate team – ranked No. 4 nationwide after rising to No. 2 earlier this year – is comprised of seniors Leah Moczulski and Paul Kanellopoulos, who first squared off to debate as 13-year-olds in their native Houston (video).

Class of 2015 Best Ever Academically, Most Diverse

Gonzaga’s Class of 2015 brings the strongest academic profile of any entering class in history and is the most racially diverse ever with students of color representing nearly 1 in 5 of the estimated 1,120 new Zags.

Women's Hoops Attendance Ranks No. 14 in Nation

Gonzaga women’s basketball home-game attendance during the 2011-12 season ranks 14th in the nation among NCAA Division I schools, and the Zags recorded the sixth-largest increase in home attendance.

Service

Civic Engagement Consortium Survey
Conducted by the National Association of Student Affairs Professionals, the survey found that 79 percent of Gonzaga students plan to be actively engaged in their communities after graduation – 6 percent higher than the national benchmark.
Corporation for National & Community Service
Gonzaga has been named to the 2013 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll by the Corporation for National and Community Service. The Honor Roll recognizes higher education institutions that reflect the values of exemplary community service and achieve meaningful outcomes in their communities. Gonzaga has been listed on the Honor Roll, recognition from the highest levels of the federal government of Gonzaga’s commitment to service and civic engagement, for the last 4 consecutive years.
Opus Prize Host

Gonzaga University has been chosen to host the 2014 Opus Prize Foundation Award Ceremony and Process. One of the world’s major efforts to honor and support faith-based humanitarian work, the annual award includes a $1 million prize and two $100,000 runner-up honors to individuals whose work has yet to receive widespread recognition.
