Congratulations on your acceptance to the Gonzaga-in-Florence Summer 2012 program! As you prepare for departure, this page will highlight some of the pre-departure information you will need to get ready for your summer abroad. Begin your pre-departure process with the following three steps:

Step 1: Reserve your place on the program

In order to reserve your place on the summer program and to be eligible to register for classes, pay the $500 deposit that is due within two weeks after your acceptance. The deposit is applied to the program cost. For deposit payment instructions, click here.

Step 2: Make sure you have a valid Passport

All students studying abroad in Italy, regardless of term, are required to have a passport that is valid for three months after the end of the program. If you do not have a passport or your passport will expire, apply for one now. To apply for or renew your U.S. passport, click here.

Step 3: Receive your Pre-Departure Binder & Forms

You will receive a pre-departure orientation binder. The binder is given to Gonzaga students at their orientation meeting and is mailed to non-Gonzaga students. Parents will be able to view the program handbook online. The pre-departure orientation binder will include various forms that you will need to compete and submit to the GU Study Abroad office by the deadlines outlined on your checklist.
