Summer Time is Here!
Greetings!
I would like to welcome you to the 2012 Summer Semester and go over a few items that will make your semester start smooth. Let’s get rolling!
A great place to begin is at www.gonzagaonline.net Here you will find links to several important sites that will keep you up-to-date and informed as the semester begins. If you have any troubles along the way you should contact Joe’s 24/7 Help Desk Team at: 1-866-748-1155.
Let’s start by checking out the ZagMail link. Log in and go over any mail you may have received over the holiday break. Remember, this is the only email that Gonzaga will use to communicate with you and we recommend you do not forward this email. This way you will have all your Gonzaga mail in one easy to access location.
After you have checked all your mail, open up the ZagWeb link and Enter Secure Area with your login ID and password. Remember, this is different from your login info for ZagMail and Blackboard. Here you will find your grades from Fall semester. You may print a record to use for Tuition Reimbursement from your employer if applicable. Anne or Jill in the Registrar’s office can assist if needed.
Next, you can check on your Summer classes in ZagWeb. Now is the time to do any last-minute changes, so don’t delay if you need to add or drop a class. Contact your student services coordinator (Nick, Chloe, Molly, or Connie) it you need assistance.
You should confirm your payment for Summer by following the instructions found on the Student Accounts page. You may now sign up for e-refunds as well; a new service. If you have any questions, you may contact Cory in that office.
Time for books…The ZagShop has your booklists and they are also available on your program website. Check out the required texts for your class and order them so you are ready for the first day of the semester.
Your courses will be available in Blackboard after Thursday, May 17th. Log into Blackboard to get the opening announcement for your courses. While you are in Blackboard you should spend some time in your Student Community. Check out the Orientation tab and get familiar with the support available for your graduate work.
Now let’s look ahead to the coming year. The 2012-13 FAFSA form is available on the Financial Aid website along with other details on available funding options. Be sure to fill your FAFSA if you haven't already. Emily can connect you with you personal financial aid counselor.
Finally, take some time to get acquainted with the information located on your program webpage. Check out any special events or program offerings. Get to know your program assistants, Teresa, Kathy, or Molly. Reach out to your faculty advisor and get to know them.
Again, welcome to the 2012 Summer Semester. I look forward to see you the next time you come to campus.
