Confirm Enrollment

If you intend to enroll at as a first-year student at Gonzaga University in the fall, please submit a confirmation deposit of $500 by our extended deadline of June 1. This deposit secures your place in the class, is applied towards tuition, and initiates your course registration.

Please use these instructions to pay your tuition deposit online. You may pay with a credit card or have funds taken out of your checking or savings account with an electronic check.

Please note that the tuition deposit is refundable until June 1. For any refund requests after June 1, please contact admissions@gonzaga.edu. 

Students accepted for Spring Semester need to submit the Confirmation Deposit of $500 by December 1.

Recent updates to the FAFSA have delayed the financial aid process. If you are eager to find out about your financial aid eligibility, you can submit a request for an Estimated Financial Aid Offer. Official financial aid offers will be communicated to those who have submitted a FAFSA as soon as possible once FAFSA data has been shared with us. 

Gonzaga requires all students applying for need-based financial aid to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, WASFA, or Needs Analysis form. We encourage families to submit the FAFSA as soon as possible. Our FAFSA filing priority consideration dates are as soon as possible for first-year and transfer students. Please visit Gonzaga’s New FAFSA (FAFSA Simplification) page for more information about the new FAFSA.  

You can also take time to learn more about Gonzaga’s financial aid philosophy and scholarships you may be eligible for. Also know that 98% of students earn scholarships and/or grants.

Regardless of whether or not you think you will qualify for Federal Aid, it is important to complete the FAFSA. It is to your advantage to file the FAFSA to see what other institutional, state, and federal funding for which you might qualify.

If you applied for incoming first-year scholarships, you will be notified when financial aid offers are released. 

If you plan to live on campus during the fall, you must submit the Residential Living Agreement and $200 Advance Room Deposit by our extended deadline of June 1. First and Second year students are required to live on campus unless you meet the exemption requirements.

How to Submit your Residential Living Agreement and $200 Housing Deposit 

If you plan to live off-campus with immediate family in the Spokane area, you must meet the requirements outlined in the Gonzaga University Residence Requirement document and submit the associated exemption request form in ZagLiving to Housing by our extended deadline, June 1st.

I’m a transfer student. Is my process the same?

Yes, we still ask that you submit your confirmation deposit, advance room deposit and housing agreement (if you will live on campus), file the FAFSA, send official final transcripts, and send your vaccination records.

If you have been accepted for the Fall Semester, the following is a list of confirmation deadlines:

• Pay the confirmation deposit online — July 1, or as soon as possible
• Fill out the residential living agreement and housing deposit—Extended Deadline, June 1 
• FAFSA—March 1 is the priority consideration date, we encourage students to file as soon as possible.
• Official final transcripts—As soon as they are available
• New Student Health Clearance—July 15

If you have been accepted for the Spring Semester, here is a list of confirmation deadlines:

• Pay the confirmation deposit online — December 1, or as soon as possible
• Fill out the residential living agreement and housing deposit—December 1
• FAFSA—as soon as possible
• Official final transcripts—As soon as they are available 
• Vaccination records—December 1

Please note, students are expected to successfully finish course work and remain in good standing within the school and community. Any concerns with regard to academics or citizenship prior to enrollment should immediately be brought to the attention of the Office of Admission.

Review our page for First-Year Students Enrolling with College Credit to see how credit(s) will transfer to Gonzaga. If you have not done so already, send official scores and/or transcripts to Gonzaga in order for the credit to be posted. 

First-year students must request that a final, official high school transcript be sent to the Office of Admission. This transcript should cover eight semesters or twelve trimesters of work and have a graduation date posted. First-year students who have completed collegiate work, Advanced Placement exams, or International Baccalaureate exams during high school must have official transcripts and examination records forwarded to the Office of Admission. Advanced standing credit is determined by the Provost & Vice Provost's Office.

Our offers of admission are conditional and contingent upon the successful and satisfactory completion of all academic work in progress. Final academic transcripts will be carefully reviewed. Your final transcript must be received before you arrive on campus for fall/spring in order to ensure your enrollment at Gonzaga. 

The Office of Academic Advising and Assistance registers all new incoming students for their first semester. New students are encouraged to explore and familiarize themselves with the academic programs offered at Gonzaga University. If you are interested in taking classes this summer, Gonzaga University Summer Term (GUST) is a great opportunity to practice and build skills to begin your academic career with confidence. If you are an incoming freshman and are interested in getting a head start on courses, please visit Gonzaga.edu/GUST or contact The Office of Academic Advising and Assistance at advise@gonzaga.edu. 

Complete the New Student Health forms by July 12, 2024. All students are required to complete health forms and documentation prior to starting classes at Gonzaga University. The health forms and documentation for new students includes mandatory immunization requirements, submission of insurance information, and various other health forms. You do not need a healthcare provider’s signature or physical exam to complete this process. Instructions for logging into your secure online health portal and completing the required health forms and documentation for new students will be sent to your Zagmail account after the Office of Admission receives your confirmation deposit. Support services are available for students with documented disabilities. If you have a disability which may require academic adjustments or accommodations, please contact Gonzaga’s Disability Access office at 800-986-9585, extension 4134.

For certain services, such as a sign language interpreter or materials in alternate media (tape or braille texts), it is absolutely essential that you notify the Disability Access office six or more weeks in advance of your arrival so that services can be arranged.
